美罗城

同事小Q因减肥减出祸，胃出血了。昨天刚巧去凑“仔”，他公司就离医院不远，所以就决定去探访那可怜的小Q。

跋山涉水坐bus到江的另一边，meet了boy就到那传说中美食中心的美罗城MetroCity去。上海的big complex没Msia多，美罗城虽然不是很大，但规模已算不错。那个圆形发亮的就是美罗城咯。

美罗城的美食中心还真不赖的，有韩国高丽餐，Teppanyaki，台湾，香港，当然少不了中式令郎满目的菜肴，惊喜的是看到了新加坡的炒粿条。还没看完整个美食中心，馋嘴的我们就再也按奈不住，这就是我们的战果：有新加坡蚝煎，炒虾粉，还有潮州排骨汤。

蚝煎没跟想象的一样，虽然都有蚝和煎蛋，但不是蛋包着蚝。还好蚝蛮多，只是凉了，味道就差了点。

炒虾粉的四只大虾好吸引，价钱只是RMB18，很好吃，yummy =D

外表看似心爱的猪肚汤，没有猪肚，排骨熬的汤，味道还是不错的。 期待下次再次去到美罗城把其他的美食尝尽。哎哟，好怀念penang 炒粿条哦。。。

这星期心情真是大起大落。。。

02-NOV-07 雨后转阴

当我发现boy“又”忘了带Handphone出门，我真是气。那天晚上我精心策划了个约会，希望给他一个惊喜。结果他没带Handphone，又迟了时间回家，MSN又offline，心情七上八下的担心他出事了，想打到他公司，才发现没有他刚上两天班的办公室电话。。。我找不着他，他怎么没找我呢？惟有临时抱佛脚的祈求GOD，菩萨希望他没事，好让他安全回来给我骂个痛快。

等了好久，他终于到家，我的心情从担忧瞬间变成一肚子火。本以为他会抱歉补偿，结果木木的他竟然不以为然，就当没事的，我真的气得快昏掉+_+ 在我以为这个快乐星期五就这样过了，他却突然带我去吃一顿Ice Cream餐。我精心策划的约会取消了，倒过来有个Surprise Meal，真是不知该气还是该笑。。。

两周年前夕，我本有了最坏打算他会忘了。结果他预订了个VIP Seat，据说看上海夜景很美的ITALY餐厅，Surprise！！！

他解释星期五没带电话，只好专程到那餐厅去预订座位。从公司到餐厅来回要两小时，所以没时间给我打电话。What can I say???我真的无言以对。一方面很感动他的努力，但也怪他没有交代而使我担心了老半天。

他送的花，很漂亮，都是我的favourite。。。

05-NOV-07 反复无常

今天他已经知道我会plan something for the Night，但他没想到我会到他公司去接他。本想到个浪漫的西班牙Restaurant去撑抬脚，怎知一个同事刚失恋，大家都说好和他一起癫一晚，推不掉之下，只好从两人世界变成大吃会。

那失恋的同事之前已经在策划婚礼，结果女朋友半途退出，知道今天是我们两周年纪念，触景生情，猛的灌我们喝酒，自己也喝个不停。过后还去唱K尽兴了一番，大家呆了很夜才各自回家。希望我们一伙人陪他，心情会好些。。。

喝得烂醉的我们隔天都爬不起身，结果都请了Emergency Leave，继续烂睡。。。

07-NOV-07 暴风雨

在boy回家的路上发生了一起车祸，交通简直是瘫痪。Boy只好回到公司附近，打算用另一条路线回家。在公司附近遇到了同事，很自然的大家就约在一起吃晚饭。本来就一个普通的晚饭，有个idiot突然建议喝白酒，还叫了个65%浓度的中国白酒。结果恶梦就这样开始。。。

首先是有个同事喝得呕个不停，两个同事喝得趴在桌上，boy也开始不清醒了。过后，两个同事醉得回不了家，就回去公司过夜继续趴着睡。幸好唯一没喝的同事就住在附近，送了boy回家。回到家，他已经beng了，一坐在沙发上，就开始呕个不停。就这样，他断断续续呕了好几次，话也没多说，为了照顾他，我就趴在旁边帮他托着桶，拿tissue帮他抹嘴。。。知道发火也没用，他根本不清醒，不知道我生气，所以我忍着，忍着。。。

也不知道什么时候，他较清醒了，我们就回到房去继续睡。本想让他解释，但趴着睡终究太累了，我就暂时不跟他追究。

08-NOV-07 雨过天晴

今早，他特地跟我一起出门，才解释了整件事，虽然很气，但看他昨天痛苦的样子，受了教训，估计他再也不敢喝醉酒了，我也算了。约法三章，没有对方在的时候，绝对不可以喝醉，不然至少还可以互相照顾。当然，最好就不要喝得那么狂，毕竟醉后呕吐的感觉不好受，还得连累那个清醒的人帮你善后 =（

才不过几天的时间，我的心情好象股票一样起起落落，真受不了。平淡的日子没什么不好，只希望明天会更好。祝大家have a nice weekend…

Moving from Friendster

You may have noticed that we have move my blogs from Friendster to Blogger. We have our connection in Friendster, but shame that we can't view the Friendster blog at Shanghai. Not sure what happens, it seems OK when we first moved in, but we can't access it from here any more.

It's no fun to create a blog, if we can't access and view your comment for us. We will try to maintain the blogs in two websites, but the original blog is come from Blogger as I can upload the picture attached to the blog, which makes it more interesting for you to view, right?

CHINA !!!

You may find almost everything amazing things here in China.

1. Huckster everywhere

You can see huckster everywhere, they sell almost everything, most common stuff like X-films, manicure treatment, DVDs, handbags, watches, pirated of coz. They surprise me when I heard of huckster sells laptop, they whisper at you and promote the laptop, you normally find them outside the subway. I wonder someone will buy a laptop in that situation? Maybe, it's cheap, at a very low price RMB 1000+, you can get a laptop, dare to buy?

2. Made in China ~ handmade

It's common to have handmade stuff, but do you ever see this - handmade modem?

My friend just bought it, he claims it works fine, but who knows how long it can stand? Friends told me there is 'handmade' laptop too, they collect the pieces from the broken or used laptop, and reassemble to be a new laptop.

I like this one, isn't it cool and special? He install a fan to it, I think he is cool too.

3. Automated Machine

It does not surprise me to see automated machine selling hotdogs, but have you ever imagine selling sweet potatoes? Introducing to you, an automated machine selling taiwan sweet potatoes...

Put in the coin, choose which potato looks tasty to you, select and boom, you got it from the bottom case.

4. Conmanship

There are many stories you heard about conmanship in China. Walk out of the subway or along the busy street, you may see a young girl or guy with smart outfit, squat and beg for money. They are modern beggars, not handicapped, but surprisingly can attract people to help them.

They normally draw their bad story with a chalk, the most common story I ever seen is she was here to meet a new friend, but got cheated all her money, so she is asking for money to get home. It's not weird to being cheated, and I feel sympathied about them, but kjust wonder where they get the chalk? Or the guy normally leave them a chalk after cheating them???

Drama Series Fans

I spent most of my free time on pc and drama series, and I definitely a super fans of drama series. I watch Alias, Dark Angel, Charmed, CSI, Desperate Housewives, ER, Heroes, House, Sex and the City, Prison Break, Lost and lots more.

My Most Favourite Drama Series goes to.... dang dang dang dang... CSI. I like anything which is not so perfect, even I'm a imagination queen, I don't believe in completist. We can try to be perfect, but there is always something not complete. Every actor in CSI is not perfect, they have their own defect, that makes it more realistic. I like CSI New York also, but definitely not CSI Miami. Why? I don't like the factitious Horatio, always play smart and action. Can't stand it when he play smart and wear the sunglasses +_+'''

The recent drama series I watch are Heroes and Las Vegas. Heroes fulfill our imagination to be a hero. Everyone dreams to be special, though you may not happy if you really become special cause things may not turn out as you wish when dream come true. We are just common human being in this world, but you may be special to someone, things you do can change someone, and of cause you can be someones hero. Play our own part, be good to everyone, and always have a clear conscience, you can be different.

I just started watching Las Vegas, a film tells the mysteries of Las Vegas Casino. People say "Anything can happen in Vegas". You can turn to a millionaire this second, but you can lost everything the next second. I don't like gambling, maybe I don't have such luck to win on a casino table. Everyone works for casino has their role to make sure guest and of cause the boss happy, and they play to the score, always ready for any break out incident.

Everytime I watch Desperate Housewives, I think about my best friends. It is my dream to have my best friends stay together in a same village. We can have a nice chat after dinner or a relax moment with friends, served with a glass of red wine. What a wonderful time. We will become someones housewife one day, hope is not the desperate one.

Next one in my list is Grey's Anatomy, Kidnapped also not bad, Rescue Me sounds good...

Leadership

Everyone has a chance to be a decision maker, to be a leader. You make decision on daily basis, from which restaurant to dine, to uncountable tasks in everyday lives. You may not born to be a leader, but you can put in effort to train yourself become the one.

What makes a good leader? I got this article from one of forwarded mail, which I would like to share it with you.

(1) Communication
Communication is one of the most key elements of leadership. Good communication skills need to be learned to effectively become a good leader or manager. When communication occurs, as a leader, you will be able to accurately convey your ideas and thoughts to those that work for you.

In fact, a good communication skill puts you in the right direction for leadership. If employees have no idea what is on your mind, your leadership is going to falter. Employees are not typically mind readers.


(2) Motivation
Motivation is another variable that plays into good leadership. Employees tend to stagnate when motivation decreases…and it will decrease, without proper motivation. Many leaders try to motivate the old-fashioned way…through fear. (Do what I say or something bad will happen) This is not advisable, since it tends to only deliver short-term results and cause even less competent work in the long run, due to resentment resulting from the fear tactics. Instead, try adding challenges for employees.

A fresh challenge always adds excitement and spawns creativity. Challenge your employees with tasks that may be slightly out of their range and let them at it! This increases motivation. If they run into a snag, guide them towards a solution but don’t offer the actual solution outright. Coach them into discovering the solution themselves. Once they have, their self-esteem will rise, thereby raising their motivation level.


(3) Teamwork
Teamwork is always something to consider when striving to become a good leader. This means not only teaching your employees to work together but to become part of the team yourself. Use others’ potential. Many times, employees’ potential is wasted. A good leader recognizes and trust his employees' ability. A good leader doesn’t manage every single detail. Use others’ potential to your benefit. You will find that you have become a better leader for it.


I believe in "Praise in public, Punish in closed door". Being a technical support, we expected to fix thing when there is problem arise. For me to start the investigation and fault finding, I always start the question, "what just happened?". I have no intention to know WHO did it, but WHAT has changed and HOW it happened. Blaming cannot get the things back to original, so I prefer to investigate with WHAT and HOW, but not WHO. It works for me most of the time.

Everyone can lead, but not everyone can be a good leader. Are you?

看病记

上星期终于如愿到了香港扫货，怎知竟然惹祸上身。没办法，中国的进口护肤品比大马贵一倍，香港的价钱虽然也贵，但至少比中国便宜20-30%。都是爱美惹的祸，听信了柜台小姐的花言巧语，买了个新的脸霜，开心地当晚就立刻开包敷上脸，第一晚还好，第二天回到上海，觉得脸痒痒的，还不觉得什么。怎知到了晚上，脸上突然红卜卜的，还以为几天的香港大吃大喝搞得食物敏感，几天应该就好了。最糟的是，隔天还必须顶个大苹果脸去上班。

过了一天，脸上红斑没有减褪，反而泛滥成灾。事态严重，没办法下去看了医生。可能你奇怪我怎么刚开始发病不看医生，别怪我，中国医生习惯帮你打点滴。他们不用针筒，发烧泻肚都让你吊几小时的点滴。这是他们的习惯，医院到处可见大人小孩都吊着点滴到处走，但我可不习惯，感觉蛮严重的。

还有，我不习惯他们的看病制度。可能院方担心病人看了医生没钱给，什么事情都钱给了再说，no money no talk.

第一步：在A柜台拿个牌register看病

第二步：在B柜台给registration费

第三步：在C柜台“排队”看医生（一些大医院制度都蛮好，每人都依号码排队；一些比较小的小区诊房，时常会被一些auntie uncle插队）

第四步：看了医生拿了药方，到D柜台给药钱

第五步：在E柜台拿药

是不是很麻烦？记得一次我肚泻得手软脚软，病情严重没办法下去看医生，结果还要step by step去ABC柜台，而且每个柜台都散布在东南西北，finally见了医生，要test blood，结果多了F柜台去给钱，再去G柜台做blood test，等进一小时拿了report再回去C柜台给医生看，才到柜台D给钱和E柜台拿药。很confuse ler。已经痛得天昏地暗，还要跑来跑去的，回到家已经剩下半条人命了。如果你是第一次去中国医院，根本一头雾水，不知该往哪里去。

终于看了医生，才知道罪魁祸首是那脸霜，医生说病情严重，必须要至少一两个星期才能消掉。但我不能一两个星期才上班，休息了两天，又顶了个大苹果去上班了。医生交代不可晒太阳，结果我就必须做两星期Puteri lilin，见光死。

从今以后，再也不敢乱试新产品。如用了一天觉得不妥，应该停止使用，可能老了迟钝了，脸上出红点了才发觉不对劲。现在都尽量戒口，得等到脸上这大苹果消了，才可以吃牛肉海鲜，咳。。。
